New ‘best places to live’ list only has 2 Minnesota cities in top 400

Many companies compile “best places to live”-style lists, but not many get as deep in the weeds as Niche.

Its best places to live list doesn’t just rank cities. Among the smaller and suburban towns are the neighborhoods of large cities, making for a sprawling list from the site that specializes in helping people find schools and neighborhoods to live in.

The ranking is topped by Atlantic Station, a neighborhood in Atlanta, taking top honors. To find Minnesota representatives below the top-placed hubs, you’ll need to do quite a bit of scrolling, because only two cities made the top 400.

Of course, breaking out neighborhoods makes it a lot harder to place well on the list. Still, Minnesota doesn’t surface until 59th place, with Falcon Heights. Second in the state is Lauderdale at 164th. However, both of those cities, and more than a dozen in Minnesota overall, received an A+ grade from Niche…
