Brinks guard shot at ATM in Conroe, suspect dead after traffic stop

CONROE, Texas (KBTX) – A Brinks security guard was shot during an ATM robbery Monday morning and remains in critical condition, according to the Conroe Police Department. The suspect later died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound following a felony traffic stop.

Officers responded at approximately 8:23 a.m. to a welfare check at a Bank of America ATM at 1906 N. Frazier St. after witnesses reported a security guard had been shot and a grey pickup was seen leaving the scene, police said.
