FORT COLLINS, Colo — After four years of serving the Fort Collins community, Nancy Agnew is preparing to say goodbye to Colorado Kolache Company, the family-owned bakery she built from the ground up.
Known for its assortments of sweet and savory kolaches, the shop at 1717 S. College Ave. is set to close by the end of July, according to a March 20 Facebook post.
Agnew described the business as a “mom and pop” operation, but said rising rent and months of storefront construction — including work on the shop’s signage — made it increasingly difficult to stay afloat…
