Early Tuesday evening in Concourse Village, a stretch of the Grand Concourse turned into a crime scene when two teenage boys were stabbed, rattling nearby residents and sending shoppers in the busy corridor scrambling to get out of the way. Emergency crews rushed the teens to the hospital, and police say both are expected to survive. Authorities detained two people as persons of interest, recovered a knife at the scene, and kept detectives on the block well into the night.
Scene and response
Officers were called to 1575 Grand Concourse shortly before 6 p.m. on Tuesday, where they found both teens with stab wounds to the abdomen. A knife was recovered at the scene and two persons of interest were taken into custody. EMS took the injured teens to BronxCare Health System, and as of Tuesday evening no arrests had been officially announced, according to News 12 The Bronx.
