Richland County felon pleads guilty to illegal possession of a firearm

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – The U.S. Attorney’s Office announced that a felon had pleaded guilty to illegally possessing a firearm.

The attorney’s office said Davante Jamar Moore, 34, of Richland County, had pleaded guilty to illegally possessing a firearm found in his car during a traffic stop. Moore faces a maximum penalty of 15 years in federal prison. He also faces a fine of up to $250,000, restitution and three years of supervision to follow his term of imprisonment.

United States District Judge Mary Geiger Lewis accepted the guilty plea and will sentence Moore after receiving and reviewing a sentencing report prepared by the U.S. Probation Office…
