POLICE: Illegal gambling operation, fentanyl discovered in Fort Wayne convenience store

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – The Allen County Sheriff’s Department says two people are facing charges after investigators found evidence of illegal gambling and “significant quantities” of drugs inside a Fort Wayne business they operate.

The department says its SWAT Team and the Allen County Drug Task Force served a search warrant Tuesday morning at the Lafayette Mart convenience store, near South Side High School.

During a search of the store, police say they seized nearly 80 grams of cocaine, more than six grams of fentanyl, several pounds of marijuana and $10,000 in cash…
