Kennesaw Battlefield expands protection of key historic land

Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park was awarded more than $550,000 by the National Park Service to protect a parcel of land with extensive Civil War history.

Thanks to a $555,687 gift from the park service’s Battlefield Land Acquisition Grants program, a 2.63-acre plot known as the “Dead Angle” will be protected forever to preserve the land’s battlefield history.
