I simply must respond to the Letter to the Editor from Joann Newton, complaining about “bad behavior” at the town squares in The Villages.
Invariably when you meet someone here and ask them what attracted them to The Villages, they will respond with “the squares” and “the friendliness.” Having wintered in The Villages the past few years, I still find that to be true.
I also agree that the “eat, drink and be merry” culture cultivated here has fed into some bad behavior. Does the good outweigh the bad?…
