Chesterfield speed camera sent incorrect warnings to drivers, police say it’s now fixed

CHESTERFIELD, Va. (WWBT) – A speed enforcement camera on Woolridge Road has been sending incorrect speeding warnings to drivers who were following the posted speed limit, Chesterfield police said.

“After we did some research and working with our vendor, we did realize that there was a programming error with the vendor, and it was programmed at 25 and not at 35, which is the posted speed limit,” Paranto said.

Corrections to the program have been made. Now, drivers who received warning letters will be contacted by the vendor about the mistake…
