TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A man living in a St. Petersburg assisted living facility was charged with making a threat that forced MacDill Air Force Base personnel to shelter-in-place last week.

An FBI criminal complaint said an employee with the 6th Medical Group received a call on March 18 that referenced a suspicious package found at the base’s visitor’s center two days prior.

“How did you like the surprise at the MacDill Visitor Center?” the caller, identified in the complaint as Jonathan James Elder, said. The employee told authorities the caller also yelled, “tick tick boom, it’s gonna be between your eyes,” and then hung up…
