ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) – Roanoke County leaders got their first look Tuesday at a proposed $285 million budget for fiscal year 2026–27, a plan county officials say maintains core services without raising taxes.
The proposal is nearly a 5% increase from last year’s budget and includes major investments in education and public safety, longtime priorities for the Board of Supervisors.
