DALLAS, Texas — A jury has convicted a 20-year-old man of capital murder in the shooting death of an 18-year-old during a planned robbery in southern Dallas, sentencing him to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
Nauledge Keon Jennings was found guilty on March 6, 2026, in connection with the January 25, 2024 killing of Joshua Russell Porter.
Prosecutors said Jennings, who was 18 at the time of the offense, and three co-defendants arranged to meet Porter under the pretense of purchasing marijuana. Investigators said the group lured Porter to the back of an apartment complex at 1025 W. Wheatland Road, where they planned to rob him of drugs and money.
According to the investigation, Jennings and another co-defendant approached Porter’s vehicle and attempted to get inside while two others waited nearby. As Porter tried to drive away, Jennings and the co-defendant opened fire, shooting 14 rounds into the vehicle. One of the bullets struck and killed Porter as his car crashed into an apartment unit…
