Iconic Fried Catfish Spot in Lake Dallas to Close Again After Brief Revival

Duck Inn Again, a revived concept in Lake Dallas, will close on March 27, 2026. The restaurant reopened last year after being inactive for a long time and is known for its catfish dishes. On the final day, the restaurant will offer $10 takeout boxes while supplies last.

Duck Inn Again Announces Closure

Duck Inn Again at 303 Alamo Ave, Suite B, Lake Dallas, announced its permanent closure through a social media post on March 23. The abrupt closure slated for Friday left the community in shock. The post read, “With broken hearts, we share that Duck Inn Again will be closing its doors.”

The restaurant reopened to honor the Howard family’s 79-year connection to the Duck Inn brand. To bid farewell to its customers, the restaurant will serve take-out boxes on Friday at noon. For $10, guests can get catfish, burgers, chicken, and shrimp with fries and hush puppies.

The restaurant has also put its equipment, furnishings, and select recipes for sale. Many commenters thanked the restaurant for its years of service and shared memories of dining there.

Historical Legacy of the Restaurant
