1. Allouez
One of the oldest villages in the Greater Green Bay, WI, region, this community got its start in 1669. It has an entire park – Heritage Hill State Historical Park – dedicated to preserving its history, with buildings that tell the story of early pioneer life and settlement.
Other beautiful outdoor spaces worth exploring include the Fox River Trail and Green Isle Park, perfect for panoramic views and play. Allouez has stayed small and intimate over the years, and its current population is about 14,000. While on the smaller size, Allouez has a lot to offer, especially when it comes to food and drinks. From Lorelei Inn, which serves classic German fare, to Zambaldi Beer, a family-owned craft brewery, there’s excellence to be found.
2. Ashwaubenon
Home to approximately 17,000 residents, this Greater Green Bay, WI, community hits a sweet spot, thanks to its cross section of football and the arts. Not only is it home to the Titletown District, the Green Bay Packers’ mixed-use development near Lambeau Field, but it’s also where the Ashwaubenon Performing Arts Center resides, drawing regional and touring acts to its 730-seat venue throughout the year.
The village also boasts 21 parks that span almost 300 acres, with many that include sports complexes, paved trails and swimming areas. 3. Bellevue
