Scott A. Cornuaud, who was serving as Hunt County Attorney, died Monday, March 23, 2026 at his home at the age of 64.
A native of Quinlan and a longtime resident of Hunt County, Cornuaud was elected to the position in 2024. During his campaign, he focused on strengthening coordination between law enforcement and the county attorney’s office and improving the efficiency of case handling.
Cornuaud had previously served in the Hunt County prosecutor’s office and later worked in private practice in family law.
