1 suspect arrested, 2 at large after shooting in Plainview

LUBBOCK, Texas — The City of Plainview announced on social media through a statement posted on the city’s Facebook page that around 1:38 p.m. Tuesday afternoon Plainview Police Officers and Hale County Deputies responded to a shots‑fired call in the 1000 block of Calle Martinez in Plainview.

The statement said officers contacted a 31‑year‑old female complainant who reported that three men had fired multiple shots toward her residence. After the shooting, one suspect fled the scene in a tan Chevrolet pickup truck. Based on witness statements and physical evidence, the driver lost control of the truck and crashed into another vehicle in the parking lot of South Plains Head Start School in the 1100 block of El Barrio.
