Aurora burglary arrest clears at least eight cases, police say

AURORA, Mo. — The Aurora Police Department says a man has been arrested in connection with a string of burglaries reported in and around the city.

Chad Vierrather, of Aurora, was taken into custody after officers served a search warrant on Wednesday, according to a statement from the department. Investigators say the arrest clears at least eight burglary cases, though they emphasized that Vierrather is presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.

Parents, care providers worry about proposed cuts to child care subsidies

Police said their investigations unit spent “many hours” analyzing data and reviewing information from several crime scenes. The department also credited the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office for assisting in the case.
