OSHA fines Springfield company after worker’s death in Branson

BRANSON, Mo. (KY3) – OSHA fined a Springfield company $8,300 after a water main break killed one of its workers in Branson last August.

The federal agency said Emery Sapp and Sons failed to properly train and educate its employees to recognize and avoid unsafe conditions.

The break occurred on Main Street, near Branson Landing. Construction crews from Emery Sapp and Sons had shut down a part of Main Street in Branson near the landing to continue working on the Branson Streetscape Project. While working, the construction crews hit the water line…
