A grass fire that prompted evacuation warnings for some Broomfield residents on Monday afternoon was sparked accidentally by someone launching model rockets in a park.
About 2:30 p.m., North Metro Fire Rescue crews responded to a report of a grass fire in the Remote Control Airfield Park northwest of 144th Avenue and Lowell Boulevard.
