The Reno Police Department is getting some temporary reinforcements at the top — and they’re familiar faces.

On Wednesday, the Reno City Council approved an agreement with the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office that brings in two retired law enforcement leaders to help guide the department during an ongoing administrative investigation. The move is aimed at maintaining stability and continuity while several current leaders remain on leave.
