Tacoma man allegedly chased down, robbed, and shot teen who threw water balloon at car

TACOMA, Wash. — A Tacoma man is facing multiple felony charges, including attempted first-degree murder, after prosecutors say he chased down a car of teenagers, robbed them at gunpoint, and shot one in the chest following a dispute involving a thrown water balloon.

Majeed Guerry, 31, is charged in Pierce County Superior Court with attempted first-degree murder, first-degree assault, four counts of first-degree robbery, unlawful possession of a firearm, and multiple counts of felony harassment (threats to kill), according to charging documents filed Mar. 25.

The shooting occurred Feb. 28 in the 3200 block of South Tyler Street in Tacoma, where officers responded to reports of a robbery and shooting involving four teenagers in a car…
