Gunfire reported in Waimanalo; HPD investigates Reckless Endangerment

WAIMANALO, Hawaii (Island News) – The Honolulu Police Department (HPD) is investigating a Reckless Endangerment incident after gunfire was observed in the Waimanalo area.

According to HPD, officers responded to the Mokulama St. and Makalao St. area at approximately 9:33 a.m. after witnesses reported gunfire on Tuesday morning.

A witness told HPD that they saw a white utility-type truck traveling on the roadway, with an unknown man in the passenger seat, holding what appeared to be a black handgun out of the window.
