PHENIX CITY, Ala. (WTVM) – A man is in custody following a pursuit that began in Lee County and ended in Phenix City on Tuesday.
Lee County Sheriff Jay Jones said deputies observed a vehicle with an obscured license plate traveling on U.S. Highway 280 east near the intersection of Lee Road 298. Deputies attempted a traffic stop, but the driver refused to stop.
The pursuit continued down U.S. 280 toward Phenix City. The vehicle attempted to make a left turn and proceed on U.S. 80 toward the Chattahoochee River Bridge into Columbus, Georgia…
