Indiana Attorney General submits brief calling for Delphi murders conviction to be upheld

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WPTA) – On Wednesday, the Indiana Attorney General’s Office submitted a brief to the Court of Appeals of Indiana calling for Richard Allen’s convictions in the Delphi murders to be upheld.

In 2024, Allen was found guilty of murder in the deaths of Abby Williams and Libby German after the girls disappeared during a hike near the Monon High Bridge Trail in 2017. Special Judge Fran Gull of Allen County sentenced Allen to 130 years.

In January 2025, Allen’s attorneys filed a motion that asked for his conviction to be overturned. Judge Fran Gull denied this motion the following month…
