PRICHARD, Ala. (WALA) – A fugitive from Georgia is behind bars in Mobile following his arrest earlier this week by the Prichard Police Department.
Brian Tripp was arrested Sunday in Prichard, city officials announced Wednesday on social media.
According to the post, Tripp, a convicted felon, fled DeKalb County, Georgia, during his trial and was wanted by the FBI and the U.S. Marshals Service. The arrest by Prichard police officers was part of a coordinated effort between local and federal law enforcement, Prichard officials said.
While on the run, Tripp, 39, of Lawrenceville, Georgia, was convicted of numerous charges, including kidnapping, and was later indicted for allegedly helping to conceal the death of a man whose body was placed in a suitcase and set on fire, according to reports…
