Mother faces judge after police find remains of daughter inside Southaven apartment

SOUTHAVEN, Miss. – New developments are unfolding in a disturbing case out of Southaven after police say what began as a missing person investigation quickly turned into a death investigation.

According to investigators, 40-year-old Cynthia Clemons appeared before a judge for the first time Tuesday after human remains were discovered earlier this month inside the apartment she shared with her daughter.
