(NewsNation) — An American Airlines flight attendant based out of Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport has been reported as missing following a layover in Colombia, the airline confirmed to Nexstar’s NewsNation in a statement.

Fernando Gutierrez was last seen in Medellín on an overnight layover on Saturday after he reportedly went out to a local nightclub, sparking concerns he may have been kidnapped.
Local television news station TeleMedellin reported Tuesday that Gutierrez had an overnight layover before boarding a return flight to Miami.
