🐱 Firefighters revive cats after Riverside County apartment fire

A fire at a senior living complex in Riverside County left more than a dozen residents displaced, but everyone made it out safely. Four cats trapped inside one apartment were rescued by Riverside County Fire crews and a sheriff’s deputy. The animals were found unresponsive from smoke inhalation, and first responders used oxygen masks, CPR, and mouth-to-snout resuscitation to revive them. The cats were later turned over to animal control for further care, while the American Red Cross helped residents who lost their homes. The rescue was caught on video and has drawn widespread praise for the firefighters’ compassion.
