SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — The San Francisco Police Department said police officers and members of its Hostage/Crisis Negotiation Team (HNT) responded around 2 p.m. Tuesday to a barricaded suspect tied in connection to report of an assault in the city’s Tenderloin District.
SFPD soon learned that the suspect was barricaded in a unit at Cadillac Hotel on the 300 block of Eddy Street. Cadillac Hotel is an official San Francisco Landmark that now offers supportive housing.
San Franciso police said that “HNT and specialists are helping to coordinate and develop a strategic plan to obtain a peaceful resolution.”
The public was asked to avoid the area during the situation, and Eddy Street between Leavenworth and Jones streets was closed to traffic, according to the San Francisco Fire Department…
