Sportservice, the sport and entertainment arm of Delaware North, has released a handful of banana-themed menu items for the Savannah Bananas’ tour.
The new menu items were developed by Sportservice culinary leaders, and local Sportservice teams at each ballpark will choose a select number of them to feature at their venue.
The new offerings include Split’s Nacho Supreme, (tortilla chips topped with seasoned ground beef, banana peppers, nacho cheese, salsa and a dollop of sour cream), a Havana Banana Hot Dog (a black angus beef hot dog wrapped in bacon and topped with roasted banana peppers, Oaxaca cheese, fresh banana pepper pico de gallo and banana pepper aioli, on a soft bun) a Havana Banana Pork Sandwich (roasted plantains layered with mojo-marinated pork, smoked ham, crispy onions, melted Swiss cheese and jalapeno aioli, on a soft potato roll) and a Banana Baller Torta (chicken topped with fresh arugula salad, charred pineapple salsa and aji criollo mayo, served between two crispy tostones).
