Feds nab man in attack on crossing guard

A n anonymous tip led U.S. marshals to South Carolina to arrest a West Philadelphia man accused of suckerpunching a female crossing guard in broad daylight on March 16, during after-school hours at 6th and Walnut sts. in Darby Borough.

That tip ended a four-day manhunt on Friday (March 20) morning in Darlington, South Carolina where marshals served a warrant and arrested 27-year-old Rashiem Russell, of the 600 block of Cobbs Creek Parkway at 11 a.m. without incident.
