Crawford freshman wins grand champion at Houston Livestock Show, pig sells for world record $505K

CRAWFORD, Texas (KWTX) – A Crawford High School freshman won grand champion market barrow at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo on March 19, and his pig sold the next day for a world record $505,000.

Landry Mabry, 15, showed his crossbred pig Eddie against approximately 2,200 pigs at the competition.

Eddie won the grand champion title, with Mabry competing in his third year at the Houston Rodeo.
