ACADIA PARISH, La. (KLFY) — A new investigation into the mysterious death of an Acadia Parish man in 2021 is available now on KLFY Plus. Host of Cajun Case Files, Britt Lofaso, digs into the strange disappearance and death of 30-year-old Deion Hollier of Rayne.
We have learned Deion was living at a home in Rayne across the street from his parents early that year. That summer, Deion meets a woman. By August, Deion is living with the woman and her two young children at an apartment complex in Rayne.
Deion talked to his parents, Maudry and Dusty Hollier, every day. Their last call with their son was August 3, 2021. As days passed without hearing from Deion, they began to worry.
“I called her, the girlfriend, and she told me that he left walking just with his medicine and the clothes on his back on or around [August] 3rd or 4th. He came back that night to try to get in. I don’t know what he wanted, maybe his stuff, and she didn’t let him in. That’s when I realized we may have a problem,” Maudry Hollier said in an interview…
