JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – A man was convicted of killing another man at a Jackson apartment complex in 2021.
Hinds County District Attorney Jody Owens said Julius Adams, 34, was convicted of second-degree murder in the death of Timothy White, 39.
The shooting occurred in the 4900 block of McWillie Drive on September 24, 2021. When officers arrived, they were met by White’s girlfriend, who stated that White had been shot. Investigators said White had been shot in the head and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

According to police, Adams had been searching for the mother of his child and first went to an apartment belonging to the daughter of White’s girlfriend. They said Adams pulled out a gun and demanded to know where she was. When she told him she did not know, Owens said Adams took her cellphone and began sending texts from it, pretending to be her, in an attempt to locate the woman…
