Bellevue homeowner waits months for Google Fiber to bury cable running across his yard

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Mowing the lawn could be a much tougher chore this spring for a Bellevue homeowner because a cable installer left a job unfinished for months.

Joe Knutson, 78, said he will have to pick up the cable repeatedly while mowing.

“You can imagine how frustrating this is going to be,” Knutson said.

Cable runs 75 feet across property

A Google Fiber cable runs from a service box on one side of his property near 48th Street and Highway 370, then on top of the driveway and stretches across the yard to the home internet and TV connection about 75 feet away. The line layers used a bush to prop it up…
