The wildfire that started March 24 in the Texas Panhandle continued to burn Wednesday, with an additional fire near the area reported overnight as first responders continued to work to bring the fires under control.
The Hutchinson Fire, which has been burning in grass and brush and through difficult terrain in Hutchinson County, had grown to about 2,820 acres and was 65% contained as of 11:28 a.m. March 25, according to the Texas A&M Forest Service.
