AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — The City of Amarillo announced that its crews will begin work on a scheduled street maintenance project on SW 45th Avenue starting Thursday.
Officials said traffic patterns on SW 45th Ave will be temporarily adjusted starting Thursday. The eastbound lanes will be closed, and traffic will be shifted to the north to two-lane traffic. Traffic control will be in place between I-27 Highway and South Georgia Street.

According to the city, the project includes milling the existing surface and the placement of a new roadway surface of asphalt.
