PALOLO, Oahu (KHON2) — Following Monday’s flooding through Palolo and Manoa, clean-up efforts are well underway.

“Just a sheet of white rain just came right in front of us, and in 15 minutes, everything was flooded here,” explained Manoa resident Cathy Callejo.
“What we saw was nothing like I’ve ever seen, cars were sideways, parking lots flooded, mud everywhere, Noelani cafeteria was covered with mud,” explained Scott Nishimoto, Honolulu City Councilmember.
The flooding turned streets into streams, causing damage to the roadways and homes, and even sent some cars floating away…
