Western Loudoun Zoning Ordinance Revisions Begin to Take Shape

Progress on rewriting the county’s Zoning Ordinance for western and rural Loudoun continues as supervisors begin the process of providing feedback to the planning and zoning staff on proposed changes.

For the past 18 months, the Board of Supervisors’ Transportation and Land Use Committee has heard from stakeholders representing agritourism, farming, businesses, environmental groups—and from residents—on how the county should change how it regulates rural uses and development. During a meeting last week, the committee moved to provide direction based on that feedback.
