A Hueytown Police officer was involved in a police pursuit after spotting a suspect wanted for multiple felony warrants in a Walmart parking lot.
After spotting the suspect, the officer tried to make a traffic stop on his vehicle, but the suspect drove away. Officers followed them through Midfield, Briughton, on to I-59S/I-20W through Bessemer and into Tuscaloosa County where he left the interstate at Exit 100.
The suspect crashed on an entrance ramp while trying to get back on the interstate, and police seized the moment to put them under arrest. One Hueytown officer was minorly injured, but were treated and released from a local hospital…
