Albany County taps school district for truancy pilot program

ALBANY, N.Y. (WRGB) — Albany County Executive Daniel P. McCoy plans to announce a new pilot program Thursday in partnership with the Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk Central School District aimed at reducing truancy and keeping students engaged.

The initiative, expected to be unveiled during a news conference at the Albany County Office Building, will utilize a new “cutting-edge platform” to take a proactive approach to student attendance and safety.
