CARY, N.C. (WBTV) – A North Carolina-based company that makes one of the world’s most popular video games planned to lay off more than 1,000 employees, according to a memo.

Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney sent a memo to employees on Tuesday, March 24, which confirmed the layoffs.
