Man accused of intentionally crashing car faces attempted murder charges

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — North Charleston police arrested a Ladson man after he allegedly crashed his vehicle into another car intentionally, telling officers he was trying to kill the occupants, according to the arrest report.

Officers responded to a collision around March 20 at 5275 International Blvd., where 22-year-old Joseph Latren Gordon Jr. admitted at the scene that he deliberately struck the other vehicle, police said. According to the reports, Gordon appeared highly emotional, crying uncontrollably and behaving erratically.

Gordon claimed his ex-girlfriend had killed his child, police said. However, officers said Gordon’s sister later video-called him and showed that the child was alive and unharmed…
