It is with a heavy heart I announce to you the total disgrace that the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority has become to our city. Big Mac Tournament in town March 11-14. Lots of people. Welcome to Cleveland.
The RTA trains were a garbage dump on rails. We used RTA both Friday and Saturday and the cars were embarrassingly filthy. Cheese crackers all over the floor, empty bottles and cans everywhere, pizza boxes with food still in them … and on and on. It was disgusting and, yes, smelled even worse. It made our city look like the dump it claims not to be.
This will fall on deaf ears, as the RTA will claim it doesn’t have the funding. Maybe if you put some cleaning supplies in the hands of all those paper-pushers in City Hall, I wouldn’t be so ashamed, as it might at least look like something is being done…
