Columbus police release 911 calls but provide few details about southside deadly shooting

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — Police are releasing little information about a deadly shooting at a south Columbus event and party venue that left a 36-year-old man dead.

Columbus police cruisers remained outside a building on Lockbourne Avenue more than 24 hours after the shooting that killed DeKevin Louis. The gun violence happened not far from a school, a post office, and neighborhood stores.

“That’s crazy, I didn’t expect to hear that,” said Douvaughn Munson, who lives in the area. “A lot of people go to work in this direction, like get their hair done, there’s a lot of stuff over here.”…
