Fort Wayne teen takes plea deal for 2025 shooting

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – An 18-year-old Fort Wayne man is taking a plea deal in an October shooting.

Maung Soe Noe was initially charged with attempted murder, aggravated battery, criminal recklessness, and misdemeanor dangerous possession of a firearm by a child in the shooting.

Thursday, he pleaded guilty to aggravated battery in exchange for the other charges being dismissed. His sentence is left up to the judge at his May sentencing hearing, where he could face up to 16 years in prison…
