NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — The USS Ross left Naval Station Norfolk Wednesday after months of pre-deployment maintenance and training.
“USS Ross has gone through a fairly long maintenance phase and then has come through a training cycle,” said the ship’s commanding officer, Commander Pia Chapman. “USS Ross is specific as a multi-mission platform, so, we do air warfare, surface warfare, undersea warfare. We’re kind of a jack of all trades, but we master all of them.”
