Reward now $10K for info on Glenside man wanted in son’s death

The Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office has increased its reward for a third time for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a Glenside man accused of contributing to the death of his severely disabled adult son.

In the 15 months since the county DA filed charges against Vernon Hatchett, 40, it has increased the reward offer from $5,000 to $7,500, and now $10,000.

Authorities have been looking to arrest Vernon Hatchett, also is known as Khaliyl Ward, since December 2024 when he was charged with two felony counts of neglect of a care dependent person, conspiracy to commit involuntary manslaughter and other crimes related to the death of Tylim Hatchett…
