SHAWSVILLE, Va. (WDBJ) – A train stopped in the middle of its tracks had people trapped and blocked out of their Shawsville neighborhood for 15 hours last weekend.
Those living in the community say it’s not the first time this has happened, but it is the longest a train has ever been stalled.
“People are going to say, ‘You move to the other side of the tracks. What do you expect? You’re going to be inconvenienced by a train,’ And we know that,” said Pat Myers. “We understand it, we accept it. And we have been inconvenienced over the years many, many times, but never for 15 hours.”…
