Former Foreigner lead singer set to headline Roanoke’s Festival in the Park

ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) – Lou Gramm, the original lead singer of Foreigner, will headline the opening night of Festival In The Park 2026 Friday, May 22 at Elmwood Park in Roanoke.

The festival “celebrates music, art, and community every spring,” according to organizers. The weekend will include live performances, local vendors, food and family-friendly activities Friday, May 22– Sunday, the 24.

Gramm and Mick Jones formed Foreigner, which began having hits in 1977. Songs such as “Feels Like the First Time”, “Cold as Ice”, “I Want to Know What Love Is” and “Juke Box Hero” remain staples of classic rock radio. Gramm left the band in 2003, but he and the band have since been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame…
